Daehan Shipbuilding Cooperation in KRISO Technology Development
On September 4th, Jung Dae-Sung, the CEO of Daehan Shipbuilding, Shin Jae-Beom, the head of the management department, and Oh Sang-Heon, the head of technology of Daehan Shipbuilding visited the KRISO in Daejeon.
Kim Bu-Ki, the laboratory chief of KRISO, Kim Jin, the head of the autonomous navigation ship development team, and Kim Jong-Joon, the head of the medium-size ship designing team of KRISO receive a visitor.
There was an introduction to KRISO's research activities and the project to strengthen the design competitiveness of medium-sized ships, and a request for cooperation in technology development based on Daehan Shipbuilding's C&D strategy.
After the scheduled time, KRIOSO visited the main facilities of KRIOSO, with exchanging views on the issues of interest.
Jung Dae-Sung, CEO of the company, said, "We appreciate the implementation of the Model Test during the development of the company's new model. In particular, thank KRISO for giving us a chance to adopt and participate in issues related to our company's interests. It has greatly helped us secure our technology.
From now on, we hope to receive support about the development of the new shape of ship and ESD, and basic design related to Gas Carrier, and we hope KRISO will actively support Smart Ship and environmental technology."
Kim Bu-Ki, director of KRISO, said, "As a leader in marine technology innovation, KRISO will prepare for future technology, especially to identify the needs of companies which haven’t insufficient research and development environments."
