Daehan Shipbuilding obtains AIP(Approval In Principle) of basic design of 7200 TEU container from British LR.

Eight officials attended the certification ceremony, including Lee Kyung -seok, Director of Technology Headquarters , Daehan Shipbuilding and Kim Young -Doo, Director of Technology, vice-president of Far East Asia Technology.

In November, last year, Daehan Shipbuilding signed a joint development project (JDP) with LR to verify basic maps and bills and recent technical trends after the completion of the 7,200TEU container concept design, and completed the technology development through mutual cooperation.

Daehan Shipbuilding  reflect the needs of the owners through collaboration and promoted the development of the optimal deployment technology. As a result, since its founding in April, the company has made its first order for 7,200TEU container ships.

In addition, Daehan Shipbuilding is undergoing JDP to secure technology for LNG double fuel propulsion lines of the 8,000TEU container ship.

As the IMO environmental regulations are continuously increasing for ordering of LNG propulsion lines continues to increase, and the Korean shipbuilding plans to acquire AIP as soon as possible and actively operate the LNG double fuel medium -sized container orders.

Moreover, the company continues to work to contribute to carbon neutral through the development of eco -friendly fuel ship technology.
