[2019.03.14] Daehan Shipbuilding Co won a 157,000-ton crude oil carrier

[2019.03.14] Daehan Shipbuilding Co won a 157,000-ton crude oil carrier

Park Young-Deok, CEO of Daehan Shipbuilding Co, and Stavros Hacchi Grigoris, CEO of Angelicsis Group, signed a contract to build a ship in Greece on August 13.

Daehan Shipbuilding Co announced on August 14 that it received an additional order for a 157,000-ton crude oil carrier from maran tankers affiliated with Angelicuxis Group, Greece's largest shipping company.

Like the contract signed in February this year, the ship is equivalent to one option of the remaining two plus one. In particular, the contract was signed at the request of the shipowner even though the expiration date of the option ends in December last year.

An official at Daehan Shipbuilding Co said, "The fact that the shipowner expressed his intention to sign a contract with the expired option is an example of the shipowner's strong trust in the shipbuilder."
