Daehan Shipbuilding Receives Order for One Aframax Oil Carrier from a European Ship Company

Daehan Shipbuilding said on Sept.29 that it received an order for an A-MAX-class crude oil carrier from a European shipping company. The ship will be delivered around March 2010.

Daehan Shipbuilding is working to create an optimized management environment by securing stable construction capacity for two years with 18 remaining orders including this order.

Chung Dae-sung, CEO of the company, said, "We will strengthen the competitiveness of our flagship ships and develop new technologies based on our trust in building high-quality ships.

Korean Shipbuilding has received six orders this year, achieving 60% of $750 million this year's goal despite the decreasing number of new orders due to Corona 19. While the shipbuilding industry was hit by the worst recession in history due to Corona 19, it is expected that Daehan shipbuilding partners and local communities will be given great vitality.

On the other hand, Daehan Shipbuilding has completed the development of eco-ship technology applicable to its flagship Aframax and Suezmax class ships and done business activities actively.
