Daehan Shipbuilding Successfully Receives a series of order…8 ships in Q1 alone
Daehan Shipbuilding announced on July 31 that it recently received an order for two Greek ships. One order is an Aframax-class oil products carrier and the another is an oil tanker.
The ship is 249.9 meters long, 44 meters wide, and 21.2 meters deep, and the company's self-developed Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase 3 (reducing the ship's carbon footprint by 30% from the 2008 average).
Korean Shipbuilding has received eight orders in the first quarter alone, including two ships which received this time.
With this, Korean shipbuilding has secured work to do by next year and is also accelerating to secure work doing in 2023.
We expect to increase as the global ordering environment improves this year, such as the recovery of maritime logistics and higher fares. So we will do our best to achieve our goal based on customer confidence in high-quality ships of Korean shipbuilding. " said Chung Dae-sung.
